Background
Currently laundry is something that is a necessity for common people, especially for students in the city of Malang. those who do not have enough time will choose to use a laundry service.
Prices are quite cheap and good service is the main attraction for users of laundry services.
The current condition of laundry is generally divided into several steps, some which are :
- The customer will come to their destination laundry
- The clerk will weigh and record the information needed about the customer's laundry
- The clerk will give a note or receipt for the customer to save, which will later be used to pick up their clothes
- The customer will pick up their laundry with a note or receipt
There is nothing wrong with the business flow above and it has been proven to be running well so far. But here I see gaps that can make the customer experience less satisfying for laundry services, some of which are :
- notes or receipts given by officers to customers, it is not uncommon for customers to experience loss or forget to put them
- When a customer wants to pick up their laundry, sometimes the laundry is closed, resting, or unfinished
- Sometimes customers forget to pick up their laundry because very rarely laundry service providers remind them to pick up their clothes
Based on this background, I want to create a website-based information system design that can be used by laundry service providers to be able to close the existing gaps and be able to provide a more satisfying experience to their customers.
Objectives
In Phase 1, the objectives of developing this system is :
- Replace notes or receipts that still use paper
- Provide management and system settings for laundry service owners to make it more efficient and transparent
- Provide features to better serve customers
Features to be Developed
- Add, edit, delete employees
- Laundry transactions with payment status (Paid, Unpaid)
- Laundry transactions with order status (New, Processing, Completed, Picked Up, Canceled)
